AzSu Alpaca Competition

The AzSu Alpaca competition is now coming to end. Unfortunately the alpaca wool was not very nice to work with at all, for many reasons, which surprised me as the alpaca's themselves were so soft! For the competition I continued with my theme of 'Aging' of which I explored for unit BA5 of my degree and entered for the Bradford Textiles Competition. I think continuing with this theme made it a lot easier to complete this competition, what with the such short amount of time we were given.

Experimenting and making use of the alpaca wool has been an interesting process. Although I personally didn't enjoy using this type of yarn it has taught me a lot about the type of textiles artist I am shaping myself to be and the materials I enjoy using.
