In a society constantly obsessed by looks and that is pressurising young women to stay looking younger for longer. That looks are everything. Where do you begin to draw the line and say this beauty brainwashing needs to take a step back so that you can start accepting your looks for who you are, not who the media pressurise you to be?
The short film below created by the Dove, self esteem campaign, shows the terryfiying truth of how the media brainwashes young girls/women into thinking that the way they look is highly important. That there is a 'desirable' look we must always aspire to achieve. I think its sad women become so convinced that they need to aspire to have 'the perfect skin' or the 'perfect size 0 waist', I think its even more sad that this younger generation of girls are being exposed to this media resulting in them also believeing these same insane values of your apperance.
