Ever since I can remember I have had this obsession with nature, maybe its being brought up in the countryside? whatever it is though, I am constantly fascinated by the beauty and intelligence of nature. I was finally able to bring this love of nature into my textiles for my final A'level piece. Even though this project is now finished I still continue to take photographs and explore further. A particular part of nature that fascinates me the most is natures ability to creep through the cracks of these man made cities. Up through the ground, wrapped around buildings, it finds itself everywhere. We can't escape nature! Nature was here first and no matter how many buildings we create nature will always find its way through the cracks to show you that no one can take its place.
A few images of the photography I used within this project. Taken in my hometown in Suffolk;
More buildings are being built everyday, and more tree's and natural landscape is being destroyed. Obviously If the world run out of nature, there would be more no human race as we live off the oxygen that nature produces. But hypothetically, say the world did become over obsessed with man-made constructions and there was no living nature left? I think it would be a quirky idea to invent a survival kit for humans in this case scenario. I think it could also make a real statement to how greedy, and un-environmentally friendly this world is becoming.
